Wedgwood
Wedgwood was homesteaded in 1900, and named after Wedgewood china by local builder Balch's wife. Primarily a single-family residential community, this established neighborhood attracts homebuyers with homes graced with a touch of old-world charm, single-vehicle driveways and garages and often meticulous gardens.
Many residents have retired in this tree-lined neighborhood, though younger families are also moving into the area. The business district along 35th Avenue Northeast tends to lean away from chains, corporations, and franchises--instead supporting smaller, community-established businesses.
